Kwame Nkrumah University is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the small city of Kabwe (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Central Province. Kwame Nkrumah University (KNU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study
The University is internationally recognized as Africa's premier center of excellence for teaching Science and Technology, producing high-caliber graduates with knowledge and expertise to support Zambia's and Africa's industrial and socio-economic development. It has two main faculties and one research center. Agriculture, Engineering, Art, Science, Medicine, Architecture, Pharmacy, Renewable & Natural Resources, Mining and Mineral Engineering, Land Management, and Environmental Studies are just a few of the faculties and schools available. The University maintains a number of linkages with both local and international organizations and industries and conducts collaborative research in diverse areas of both physical and biosciences.
