Day coeducational Kyiv International School is a non-profit institution. The school offers an English-language education for students in PreK through Grade 12 and is approved by the Ukrainian government. It also offers Advanced Placement courses and the DP International Baccalaureate program. August to June is the academic year.

The school is a part of Quality Schools International (QSI), a nonprofit network of international colleges preparatory to the American model. It presently belongs to the Central and Eastern European Schools Association, or CEESA.

The school's campus is gated around the clock and resembles a park. A learning center, sensory rooms, art, music, and technology labs, an auditorium, an indoor swimming pool, indoor gyms with a climbing wall, a fitness center, a cafeteria, a snack bar, contemporary playgrounds, an outdoor basketball court, and an outdoor fitness area are all part of the purpose-built campus.

Kyiv International School (KIS) employs a learning methodology known as Performance-Based Mastery Learning. The Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools has granted its accreditation. French, German, Spanish, Russian, and Ukrainian are the five languages in which the school provides instruction.

These courses are provided at different levels for students ranging in age from 6 to 17 in the framework of the school's language curriculum, as well as IB and AP programs for both native and non-native speakers.

With the help of the KSI Preschool program, young students will be able to grow in a supportive and engaging environment. Pupils engage in a range of play-based and interactive activities that foster physical development, social skills, and learning readiness—all of which are essential for success in the classroom. A wide range of activities is offered, such as play, art, music, and technology.

KSI Elementary program is to support a child's overall development. The school offers a thorough curriculum that includes core courses like science, math, reading, writing, and cultural studies. Pupils can investigate technology, music, art, libraries, physical education, and languages other than English.

The core courses of the Middle School curriculum are Writing, Literature, Science, Mathematics, and Cultural Studies. Classes like physical education, art, drama, music, languages other than English, and technology are vital to students' well-being because they balance the curriculum and offer challenges and inspiration.

Kyiv International School's Secondary School Program aims to provide students with the abilities, information, and attitudes needed to succeed in a post-secondary setting. Students in this program take part in both the Advanced Placement (AP) Capstone Diploma and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program.
