Lake Cismigiu

A lake called Lake Cismigiu is located in Cişmigiu Gardens in Sector 1 of Bucharest. This Lake is one of the best lakes to visit in Bucharest. The lake has a surface area of 29.500 m2, is 1.3 km long, 50 meters wide, and between one and two meters deep. A skate park is set up on the lakebed during the winter when the lake is artificially dried out. The much smaller Lake Lebedelor, located close to Lake Cişmigiu in the Cişmigiu Gardens, is designated for aquatic birds.

The lake fully dries out throughout the winter, and a skate park is set up on the lakebed. You can rent ice skates at this time, and you can have a terrific time outside. Make sure to visit the lake if you happen to be in Bucharest in the winter.
