Lake Văcărești

A lake called Lake Văcărești is located in Sector 4 in Bucharest. The lake is 140.5 hectares in size (347 acres). It is currently a protected area of nature known as Văcărești Nature Park. This region is home to over 100 different species of wild birds and animals.

The lake, formerly known as Balta Văcărești, was created by the historic Dâmbovița River bifurcation. The Romanian government designated the area around Lake Văcărești as a protected area on June 5, 2014, and gave it the designation Natural Park Văcărești.

This lake, considered to have lovely surroundings, is situated in the southern part of Bucharest. Despite the lake's unpopularity, there are many exciting sites nearby. It has been reported that the government would shortly designate the lake region as a protected natural park. Even if it's not all that well-known, it nevertheless has a unique quality.

For many migratory species, this is a crucial location in the spring and fall. Additionally, pouch hunters are a problem for the park's rangers. They're after the legally protected songbirds from this region.
