Le Jardinier
This exquisite, impressionist environment, which is suited for a museum restaurant, is located inside the Museum of Fine Arts. It would be worth a visit just to look at the cuisine; the plates are attractively and tastefully arranged. Vermeer would have been pleased to dine at Le Jardinier, with a sprig of rosemary here and some vibrantly colored beets there.
The meal is known for its creativity, but it also tastes great. Burrata with winter squash, pecan gremolata, and spiced red-wine poached pears, for example, will leave you wanting more. Main meals like chestnut agnolotti with wild mushrooms and toasted hazelnuts demonstrate the chef's commitment to farm-to-table cuisine and the abundance of good ingredients derived from vegetables and plants. Go for the greens; you'll be pleasantly surprised.
