Louise Hay

Louise Lynn Hay is an American motivational writer and founder of Hay House. She is the author of several New Thought self-help books, including the 1984 book You Can Heal Your Life.


In 2008, a film, You Can Heal Your Life, about the life of Louise Hay was released. According to Haye herself on the film's official website, "This film is the story of my life, my teachings, and how I applied the principles of my teachings to my life." The film also features well-known speakers and personal development writers including Gregg Braden, Wayne Dyer, Gay Hendrix, Esther and Jerry Hicks, and Doreen Virtue. It was directed by Emmy Award-winning director Michael A. That same year, Louise Hay won the Minerva Prize at the Women's Conference. Hay and Cheryl Richardson published a book called You Can Create An Exceptional Life in September 2011.


Louise Hay died on the morning of August 30, 2017 at the age of 90.
