Lycée français de Varsovie
Lycée Français de Varsovie, also known as Lycée Français de Varsovie - René Goscinny or LFV, is a French international school in Warsaw offering excellent education from preschool to high school. The school is part of a global educational network managed by the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) and accredited by the French Ministry of Education, following the French education system.
The school has four branches in Warsaw's Sadyba and Saska Kepa districts, making it a sizable private institution with almost 800 students from 40 countries. It includes a kindergarten, elementary school, and high school. The teaching approach is innovative, emphasizing cultural diversity, fostering an open mindset, and giving importance to language learning and citizenship.
Students study essential French content using the French curriculum adjusted to meet the requirements of international schools in Poland. Simultaneously, they learn Polish as a foreign language or as a mother tongue for Polish children. French is the primary language of instruction at LFV.
In the fifth year of primary school, students without French citizenship take the DELF A2 level exam with a 100% pass rate, according to LFV. High school studies differ from Polish institutions at this level. Students can choose compulsory and additional subject groups based on their interests, including socioeconomic subjects, humanities or science, and other issues for their final school leaving exams.
LFV provides over 30 extracurricular activities such as sports, arts, languages, and cultural activities for preschool and primary school pupils.
