Malibu

Malibu, which is a little more than 30 miles west of Los Angeles, is sometimes seen as a seaside haven for the wealthy and illustrious. While that perception is unquestionably accurate, Malibu is also home to a number of excellent beaches and is close to outstanding nature parks. Drive up Highway 1 and stop at well-known beaches such Point Dume State Beach, Zuma Beach, and Robert H. Memorial State Beach park.

Spend some time hiking the numerous paths at Topanga State Park, Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, and Point Mugu State Park. You won't find many hotels that have reasonable rates in Malibu because of its tiny size and wealth, so you might choose to stay in nearby Los Angeles. The Malibu Beach Inn and The Surfrider Malibu offer comfort and elegance if you are determined to remain in Malibu.

The renowned pier in Malibu is among the best sights to view. A prominent tourist destination and a local landmark is the wooden-planked pier. Admire the breathtaking ocean as you make your way to the pier's end, keep a look out for dolphins, and take in the surfers showcasing their prowess. And if you become hungry, you may eat at one of the surrounding eateries or catch your own dinner.
