May have anticancer properties
Animal and test-tube research have revealed that Bacopa monnieri may have anticancer effects. Bacosides, the active family of chemicals in Bacopa monnieri, have been demonstrated in test-tube tests to kill aggressive brain tumor cells and prevent the development of breast and colon cancer cells.
In animal and test-tube tests, Bacopa monnieri also caused skin and breast cancer cell death. According to research, the high quantities of antioxidants and chemicals in Bacopa monnieri, such as bacosides, may be responsible for its cancer-fighting effects. Keep in mind that these findings are from animal and test-tube experiments. It cannot be suggested as a cancer therapy until additional human trials on Bacopa monnieri are conducted.
