May improve mood disorders
Lavender is frequently used as an aromatherapy ingredient and dietary supplement to treat tiredness, anxiety, and depression. According to studies, chemicals in lavender may increase activity in specific brain regions and affect the way impulses are sent between brain cells in ways that improve mood and have a soothing impact. While the aroma of lavender extract and oral medicines containing lavender oil have both been found to elevate mood and soothe the mind, it is less certain if lavender tea might have a comparable effect.
According to research conducted on 80 new moms in Taiwan, those who drank 1 cup (250 mL) of lavender tea daily for 2 weeks while taking the time to savor its scent reported less weariness and despair than those who did not smell and drink the tea. After 4 weeks, both groups reported experiencing equal levels of weariness and despair, which suggests that advantages are most useful in the beginning.
