Megan Calder
Megan has in depth experience in infrastructure and construction, assisting clients in complex preliminary negotiations and litigation. She is best known for her commercial and pragmatic approach and extensive experience and expertise representing contractors, large subcontractors and suppliers, developers, non-profit organizations and government insurance companies.
Megan places special emphasis on a deep understanding of clients' strategic and practical needs at every stage of the construction process, from contract negotiation to project implementation and ultimately dispute resolution to ensure the best possible outcome. Megan drafted and negotiated contract documents and also provided services for the implementation of large-scale infrastructure and construction projects, including the modernization of roads, railways and manufacturing plants.
Her litigation experience includes civil infrastructure including renewable energy, roads, dams, desalination plants, hospitals and marinas, treatment plants, and commercial and residential disputes. With experience in all jurisdictions including the Australian High Court and the Dispute Resolution Forum, including
adjudication, peer determination and arbitration, Megan acts on a variety of issues, from contractual rights and terminations to relying on bank guarantees and security claims.
