Middle East University
Middle East University was founded in 1939 and is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the suburbs of Beirut (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Middle East University (MEU) is a small (uniRank enrollment range: under-250 students) coeducational Lebanese higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Adventist religion.
It is officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Education et de l'Enseignement supérieur, Liban (Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Lebanon). Middle East University (MEU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in a variety of fields, including pre-bachelor degrees (certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, and doctorate degrees.
This 81-year-old Lebanese university has a selective admission policy based on entrance exams and students' previous academic records and grades. This Lebanese higher education institution is the least selective, with an acceptance rate of 80-90 percent. International students are welcome to apply for admission.
MEU also offers students a library, lodging, sports facilities, financial help and/or scholarships, and administrative services, among other things.
