University of Balamand was established in 1988 as a non-profit private higher education institution in the suburbs of El-Koura (population range of 2,500-9,999 persons), North Governorate. A branch campus of this university may be found in Beirut.
University of Balamand (UOB) is a small (uniRank enrollment range: 5,000-5,999 students) coeducational Lebanese higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Orthodox religion. It is officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Education et de l'Enseignement supérieur, Liban (Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Lebanon).
