Mithali Raj
Mitali Dorai Raj is an Indian cricketer and test and ODI captain for the women's national cricket team. Raj is the top scorer in women's international cricket.
She is the international women's cricket top scorer and the only female cricketer to break 7,000 points in an international women's one-day match. She was the first player to score 50 points in seven consecutive ODIs. Raj also holds the record for most half a century at WODI. In June 2018, at the Women's 2020 Asian Cup 2018, she became the first Indian player (male or female) to reach 2000 points in the T20I and the first female cricketer to reach 2000 points in the WT20I.
In 2005 she became Chairman of the Board of Directors. Raj is the only (female) player to captain India in the final of the ICC ODI World Championship twice, in 2005 and 2017. On 1 February 2019, in the Indian Series against the New Zealand Women, Raj became the first woman to compete in 200 ODI matches. In September 2019, she announced she was leaving the T20Is to focus on ODI cricket. In 2019, she became the first woman to serve in international cricket in 20 years.
