Morgan Freeman is Jimi Hendrix

Jimi Hendrix, one of the finest guitarists to have ever lived, has earned his deserved position in music history. What might have happened if Jimi Hendrix had survived his untimely death at the age of 27 has been a subject of much speculation. Hendrix did live, at least according to some people who hold to this conspiracy idea.

According to the rumor, Hendrix staged his own demise in 1970. He recreated himself as the renowned actor Morgan Freeman after pretending to die. Let's simply go with the idea that most people who fake their death want to hide from the spotlight rather than somehow become even more famous.

The theory's supporting data comes in many forms. First and foremost, it's clear that both Jimi Hendrix and Morgan Freeman enjoy music (who owns his own blues club in Mississippi). After Jimi Hendrix's passing, Morgan Freeman rose to fame. Finally, Morgan Freeman has a Jimi Hendrix-like appearance.

As you would have guessed, this evidence is at best tenuous. In the same way that Jimi Hendrix also somewhat resembles Redd Foxx and Dave Chappelle, so does Morgan Freeman. Even less believable is the claim that Morgan Freeman became well-known after Jimi passed away. Morgan Freeman's career actually began about six years before Jimi Hendrix passed away; he just didn't become particularly well-known until much later, as is the case with practically every actor who must begin with minor, background jobs and work their way up.
