This museum has one of the world's most significant archaeological and classical art collections. The name comes from its proximity to the Diocletian Baths. It is one of the best museums in Rome. It is an airy Neo-Renaissance-style mansion built between 1883 and 1887 in the villa style.
It was utilized as a Jesuit college until 1960 when it became part of the National Roman Museum. It houses exhibits from the pre-and early-Roman historical periods, as well as additional archaeological artifacts discovered in the city. It also has a resting bronze Boxer and marble statues from the Roman Republic and Imperial Era. The Villa di Livia paintings, which depict an exotic garden against a backdrop of colorful flora and wildlife, are well-known at the museum.
