Nakupenda Beach
The most stunning of Stone Town's beaches, Nakupenda Beach (which means "I love you" in Swahili) is a sandbank a short boat ride from Zanzibar's capital. It's a beautiful experience to sit on the pristine dunes and gaze out towards the Indian Ocean.
This is a beautiful place to swim or snorkel; the turquoise seas are appealing, and it truly feels like you're on a tropical island. You may simply lie back and watch the sun go down, or you can go swimming with dolphins. Nakupenda Beach is defined by its crystalline sea, beautiful white beach, and a variety of coral reefs. Bring a parasol if you go to Nakupenda Beach because there is no shade on the sandbank.
Relaxing in one of the beach bars and watching the sunset is the ideal way to end the day. After a day of relaxing on the beach, the boat ride back to Stone Town is equally memorable.
