National Museum

The National Museum (Musée national de Sandervalia) is Guinea's national museum, located in Conakry, the country's capital. The majority of the rooms are vacant, however there is a small display of traditional goods from various areas of Guinea, as well as colonial-era objects and monuments. There are a variety of craft goods for sale.
The National Museum is located on the 7th boulevard in Kaloum, in the Sandervalia neighborhood of Conakry, near the Ignace Deen Hospital. The museum sits in a park in the Sandervalia district that used to have a lot of big trees, but all but one have been chopped down. With the help of the Japanese Embassy, one wing has been repaired.
