Naviluna
Naviluna is an artisanal chocolate brand that uses organically certified Indian cacao beans exclusively, and is the first bean-to-bar chocolate house in India. It was founded in 2012 by David Belo, who moved from London to Mysuru, where he set up his chocolate factory and workshop. The brand was initially called Earth Loaf, but changed its name to Naviluna in 2019, meaning ‘of the peacock’ in Kannada.
Naviluna celebrates the local terroir of South India, where it sources its cacao beans from small-scale farmers. It also uses natural ingredients such as coconut sugar, spices, nuts and fruits to create unique flavours such as gondhoraj lime and pink salt, apricot and almond, and palmyra sugar and coffee. Naviluna has won several awards for its quality and innovation, and is part of the global craft chocolate movement.
