Nevada State College
Started in 2002, Nevada State College (NSC) is part of the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) and works as a full-fledged, four-year institution. To be more flexible for students, NSC has been increasing the number of programs it offers online and become one of the best online colleges in Nevada. NSC now has various online degree programs covering education, nursing, business administration, and more.
For those aiming for advanced degrees, NSC provides online master's programs such as the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and the Master of Education (M.Ed.). NSC has a particular RN-to-BSN program for working nurses. This program is entirely online, with flexible schedules, various start dates, and practical experience requirements that can be fulfilled while working.
More than 90% of the faculty teaching in these programs have received special training in online teaching to ensure good online education. Online students at NSC also get help with tutoring, technical support at any time, and personalized feedback on their work.
To apply for the RN-to-BSN program, you must have a nursing license. Usually, you should also have an associate degree from a recognized institution with at least a 2.0 GPA. However, the college might admit some nurses with nursing diplomas on a provisional basis. The college usually decides on admissions within 24-48 hours.
