New Seasons
New Seasons was created in 1999 in Portland, Oregon. By 2008, it had expanded to nine outlets and around 1,800 staff. When New Seasons purchased California-based New Leaf Community Markets in November 2013, it had grown to 15 locations and 3,000 employees, and New Leaf founder Scott Roseman joined the New Seasons Board.
According to SEC filings, Endeavour Capital invested $17.5 million in New Seasons Market in November 2013. Endeavour Managing Directors Bradaigh Wagner and Stephen Babson have joined the board of New Seasons Market. New Seasons became the world's first supermarket to be accredited as a B Corporation in 2013. The global non-profit B Lab awards B Corp certification to for-profit businesses that meet social sustainability, environmental performance, accountability, and transparency standards. In 2015 and 2017, the company was re-certified for employee benefits, community non-profit donations and volunteer hours, environmental programs, and open governance.
