Newlands Brewery

Newlands Brewery, founded in 1820, is South Africa's oldest functioning brewery and the birthplace of excellent South African beer. Newlands Brewery creates international award-winning beers using time-honored brewing processes, Newlands spring water, and only the best golden grains and local ingredients.

Newlands Brewery now produces nine well-known beers. For anyone interested in learning more about current brewing technologies and professional workmanship, Newlands Brewery provides a fully guided #BeerExperience. The Guided Tour will take you on a trip through the history of beer, from its humble beginnings as a grain to its final form as a well-crafted, ice-cold pint, as well as the current brewing procedures. In the brewery's ancient basement tavern, the tour concludes with a beer tasting and a couple of pints.
