Nine Dragons Paper

According to its 2019-20 annual report, China's largest packaging manufacturer, Nine Dragons Paper, made a profit of 51 billion Chinese Yuan ($7.7 billion).

The ecologically friendly recovered paper-based manufacturing firm was established in 1995, and it was successfully listed on the main board of the Hong Stock Exchange in March 2006 – two years later, it established a joint venture in Vietnam.

In 2019, the company purchased two fully integrated pulp and paper plants in the United States, one in Wisconsin and the other in Maine.

The company also bought a recycled pulp plant in West Virginia at the same time. It bought three packaging mills in China to create corrugated sheets and boxes a year later, as well as a pulp and paper plant in Malaysia.

The company, which is situated in Hong Kong, produces containerboard, high corrugated medium, and coated duplex board, and may act as a "one-stop-shop" for a variety of packaging paperboard goods.

Nine Dragons Paper now employs 18,500 people over 19 operations bases, according to GlobalData. Its ultimate goal is to become the world's largest and greatest recycled-based paper developer.

Cheung Yan, the company's chairwoman and dubbed "the Queen of Trash" and "China's Paper Queen," and Liu Ming Chung, its deputy chairman, and CEO are the two prominent players at the top.
