Nishibama beach
Nishibama Beach is located on the East China Sea's shore to the east of Aka Island. Snorkeling and diving are ideal in the crystal pure light blue sea. Here you'll find tropical fish schools, coral reefs, and humpback whales.
Nishibama offers a spectacular view of Kerama Bay and the sunset. The length of this natural beach is 1 kilometer. Nishibama is a smooth, grainy white sand beach. It's ideal for families with young children because of the shallow water and lack of waves. The environment at Nishibama is serene and tranquil because it is rarely crowded.
Nishibama is not only a great spot for family vacations, but it is also the setting for the love film about Shiro and Marylin, according to the residents. Shiro swam the three-kilometer strait between Aka and Zamami to see his girlfriend, Marylin. The statue of Shiro was erected on Aka to commemorate this unusual story, while the statue of Marylin may be found on adjacent Zamami Island. Today, the two dogs gaze out across the wide ocean, dreaming of reuniting.
