NOLA Doughnuts


Unlike other doughnuts on this list, NOLA makes its doughnuts from laminated dough (the same kind used for croissants and puff pastry danishes), resulting in flaky donuts with a crisp, craggy texture for sugar to comfortably settle in. They also make beignets and more standard yeast-raised doughnuts. All but the laminated doughnuts (La’ssants) are available for preorder online. Nola Doughnuts is relatively new to the PDX foodie scene, but they no doubt serve some of the best donuts in Portland, in particular, some of the best croissant-style donuts!
