Omaha Steaks
Omaha Steaks advertises itself as "America's Greatest Butcher" and has undoubtedly been feeding carnivores for a long period of time. To meet the increased demand for grass-fed steak, both grain-fed and grass-fed alternatives are now available (both begin with grass-fed cattle, but the trademark beef is grain-finished). Visit its website to learn more about how each alternative compares.
Omaha is a good city, but it is not where most picky customers would go for ultra-high-end cuts. The firm does not market organic meat in the same way that others do, nor does it give much detail on where and how the animals are farmed.
However, the selection in Omaha Steaks is quite astonishing. From a variety of beef cuts (steaks aplenty, including gigantic "king cuts" weighing up to 48 ounces) to some harder-to-find bison, veal, and lamb cuts, they have everything. Even better, Omaha Steaks has a wide variety of pig, chicken, and fish, as well as prosciutto, meal packages, a la carte desserts, and even pet treats.
