Porter Road
Porter Road, based in Nashville, provides a selection of quality cuts of beef, pig, lamb, and poultry supplied from Tennessee and Kentucky. Although the beef is pasture-raised, grass-fed, and grain-finished, the firm does not utilize additional hormones or antibiotics, and the animals are allowed to wander and graze on the farm freely.
As with Snake River Fields, it employs corn-based fiberglass in its boxes, which means you can use these ingredients to preheat your grill and prepare the skirt steak included in the package. While the majority of Porter Road's meat is transported fresh, some cuts may be frozen. You can order a prix fixe menu (from more traditional cuts such as pork chops, NY strip tenderloin, filet mignon, ribeye, and ground beef, to less common ones like Denver steak, lamb T-bones, and fresh andouille sausage)
It is also possible to select from several chop box options, such as "all-beef", "beef and pork", or a "best of" assemblage that comes every two, four, or eight weeks. In addition, you may add some extra products to your meat supply subscription. (ex: "Set a bird there" next week if you are in the mood for chicken.)
