Outer Islands
The Outer Islands, also known as Coralline Seychelles (archipelago), are a group of Seychelles islands that are not located on the shallow Seychelles Bank (Seychelles Plateau), which defines the site of the granitic Inner Islands archipelago to the east.
The Outer Islands of Kiribati remain mostly unexplored, despite being among the most beautiful sections of the country. Tourists may enjoy a variety of recreational activities in the Outer Islands, including fishing, scuba diving, and cultural events. The Abaiang island is easily accessible and well-known for the varied fishing activities available to visitors. Butaritari is another island that is thought to be the greenest in Kiribati and is well-known for its World War II ruins. The lagoons on Abemama are ideal for snorkeling and swimming.
