Patenga Beach
Patenga is a coastal beach 14 kilometers south of Chittagong, Bangladesh's port city. It is located near the Karnaphuli River's mouth. Patenga Beach is one of Bangladesh's most popular beaches, running for kilometres near the confluence of the Bay of Bengal and the Karnaphuli River. Nature lovers flock here to enjoy the scenic beach area as a respite from the hustle and bustle of city life and to breathe in the fresh air.
Patenga is a well-known tourist destination. To avoid erosion, big chunks of stone have also been set forth. Around the beach region, a slew of eateries and kiosks sprang up in the 1990s. The security element of visiting the beach at night has been improved thanks to the lighting of the beach area. People get up early in the morning to catch a glimpse of the magnificent dawn.
