Poppy O’Toole

Poppy O'Toole, also known as Poppy Cooks on Instagram, is a British TikTok celebrity, Michelin-trained chef, social media personality, and Instagram influencer. And she's now making her television debut as the host of E4's newest cooking competition, Celeb Cooking School. Poppy had to climb her way up the culinary ladder before she could access the worlds of social media and television. O'Toole secured an apprenticeship at Purnell's in Birmingham, England, when she was just 18 years old, and quickly progressed up the ranks while she continued her cooking career in London.

Poppy was devastated to find that she had lost her job as a junior sous chef when the epidemic hit the UK – until she discovered TikTok. Poppy and her partner Tom left London and returned to Birmingham during the lockdown, and the TikTok newcomer kept herself occupied by filming food videos online. Poppy and Tom recognized the potential of her cooking passion when they created a recipe series called What a Chef Eats in a Day, which showed her audience how to make great, home-cooked meals with no effort. Her content gradually gained popularity, and her account gained followers and views. She now has 2.4 million Tiktok followers.
