Rakshata Chawla

Scientist from India Rakshata Chawla is in charge of the Black Knights' R&D division. Rakshata is a scientist from the Military District of India. Little is known about her past, but it is known that she attended the Imperial Colchester Institute to further her education. Rakshata appears to have known Lloyd Asplund and Cécile Croomy from their time in the academy and has a wealth of experience in various sectors, including medical cybernetics. Rakshata was chosen to lead research and development for the expanding insurrection when India decided to back the Black Knights.

Rakshata is composed, almost always keeps her composure, and appears carefree in any circumstance. She is also never seen without her signature tobacco pipe. She gets along well with Zero and several of her Black Knights teammates. Rakshata is quite easygoing and relaxed; when she isn't working, you can typically find her lounging on a couch. Even the Ikaruga, the chariot of the Black Knights, has one put on its bridge.

For unknown reasons, Rakshata Chawla dislikes discussing the past in conversation. Rakshata has been repeatedly demonstrated to be highly brilliant and intuitive, yet these qualities also give Rakshata a certain amount of hubris. She is immensely proud of her accomplishments, especially witnessing them work to their utmost. She lovingly refers to her technological creations as her "children." She treats them with such care that when others carelessly mishandle or interfere with them without her consent, she becomes furious.
