Rehoboth Beach
Rehoboth Beach is a city in eastern Sussex County, Delaware, on the Atlantic Ocean along the Delaware Beaches. Rehoboth Beach is a popular, affluent vacation destination, and many people, including current U.S. President Joe Biden, have summer homes there. During the summer, the population of Rehoboth Beach grows to over 25,000 within the city limits and thousands more in the surrounding area. The NRDC awarded Rehoboth Beach a 5-Star rating for water quality in 2011. Only 12 other locations received this honor, one of which was neighboring Dewey Beach.
Locals and visitors alike consider the City's mile-long boardwalk to be one of the city's most popular attractions. The boardwalk, surrounded by a variety of shops, restaurants, businesses and family attractions, is one of the reasons Rehoboth Beach is so appealing. Rehoboth Beach is no longer a seasonal destination. Their boardwalk serves as the backdrop for festivals and events, fitness competitions, and simply daily walks throughout the year.
