Rei Furuya

Rei Furuya, a police officer who currently spies on the Black Organization - dominates our list of the most popular Detective Conan characters. In contrast to his shooting skills, Rei's personality is pretty cheerful. Rei is also very generous, too, often bringing sandwiches to Mori's detective agency, all of which were bought with his own money. Under more severe circumstances, he is quite patient, always staying calm despite people's abuse of him.

Despite being categorized as a "cool man", Rei Furuya rarely tries to hide his inner emotions; instead, the man is very expressive. Also, like most polices and detectives in the franchise, Rei likes showing his deductions and arguments about the cases to other people. Even Kogoro Mouri himself has to call Rei "effeminate".

Also, Rei Furuya always respects his Japanese spirit, which means he always shows some kindness and humanity - even to enemies. For illustration, in chapter 12 of Zero's Tea Time, he wanted Camel to leave as soon as possible so that he doesn't encounter heavy traffic. Also, Rei and Camel practice with each other in chapter 34; and then, in chapter 45, after Camel has saved his chief, Rei thanked Camel and prepared tea for him, which astounded and impressed Camel. As said by Wataru - his friend - Rei is a gentleman just like Takagi.
