Rich Gaspari
Richard Gaspar is a former IFBB member and retired professional bodybuilder from the United States. He finished second in the Mr. Olympia events in 1986, 1987, and 1988. He was never named king since he never won the Mr. Olympia contest throughout his career.
Gaspari grew up in Edison, New Jersey, and as a youngster would sneak into the weight room at Rutgers University to use the equipment. He began his professional bodybuilding career in 1984, placing second at the 1985 IFBB Night of Champions, then third in Mr. Olympia the following year. During Lee Haney's long reign at the top, Richard finished third three times at the Mr. Olympia event (the most prestigious on the professional circuit). During this time, he also won numerous subsidiary IFBB Grand Prix championships. He was recognized especially for his hitherto unknown degree of fitness and definition since he was the first athlete to show striations on the gluteal muscles.
Gaspari amassed a fortune from his sport while never winning first place. He invested his money in Gaspari Nutrition, a supplement company. This is one of the main reasons behind his present net worth of $90 million.
