Risky Business (1983)
Tom Cruise's breakout role as Joel Goodson in the teen sex comedy Risky Business was considered one of the greatest films of 1983. The classic follows a Chicago youngster who, while his parents are abroad, is looking for a good time at home, which leads to a crazy and dangerous situation.
Cruise went on to win international fame and recognition for his performance. One of the most famous scenes in movie history is Cruise's character sliding across the floor in his white underwear, pink shirt, and socks while dancing to Bob Seger's "Old Time Rock and Roll". It has been parodied and imitated many times. Cruise's career took off after the success of the film, and he went on to star in the many big-budget films throughout the 1980s and beyond.
