Robuchon au Dôme
The other three Michelin starred restaurant in Macau is Robuchon au Dome, which is part of the fine dining network of famous celebrity chefJoel Robuchon, who has the most Michelin stars in the world and outposts in other Asian cities such asHong Kong and had two in Singapore before they closed down in mid-2018.
Expect the same level of quality as his other restaurants, with sophisticated French cuisine served in an opulent setting reminiscent of the Lisboa Hotel, where this restaurant is also located. I admit that I had low expectations because I am not a Robuchon lover based on previous experiences in Singapore, yet the restaurant thrives in Macau.
The reclaimed island at the tip of Macau, which is located north of Cotai, transports you back to Macau's historical center. Huge multibillion-dollar casinos dot the landscape today, yet there are still a few relics of the old Macau. Under Portuguese administration, churches, residences, ruins, and forts date back to the 17th century, but the Lisboa Hotel, a real Macau icon constructed by 'The King of Gaming' Stanley Ho in 1970, is a more modern building.
