The Royalton's dark, glam main-level lounge, redesigned in 2007 by Roman and Williams (the firm behind the eclectic interiors of Ace Hotel New York), is popular among midtown professionals. The Royalton began as upscale residences overlooking 43rd and 44th Streets before evolving into the sophisticated boutique hotel it is today.
