Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace

Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace, adapted from Liu Lianzi's novel Hou Gong Ru Yi Zhuan, is about Emperor Qianlong's marriage to a step-empress. You will become absorbed in the empress's life, which is strewn with treachery, by viewing this series. Even as she rises through the ranks to become Empress, she encounters numerous challenges to survive.

This lovely show, however, isn't just about palace intrigues and politics. Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace's also about the emperor and empress's love and the progression of their relationship over time, from their youth to their final days. The drama also focuses on the lives and insecurities of the harem's ladies, and it does an excellent job of illustrating their diverse motivations.
