Saint Paul’s Cathedral
This cathedral, created by Italian architect Aldo Spirito and encompassing a whopping 14,625 square feet, is supposedly Africa's second-largest church building and can seat more than 3,500 people (4,500m square). In August 1985, Pope John Paul II inaugurated the cathedral with a spectacular opening ceremony.
The iconic monument in Cote d'Ivoire is claimed to portray a statue of St Paul, with the buildings behind it representing his robes. The cathedral's interior features a number of stunning stained-glass tableaux. Tourists can also enjoy beautiful views of the city from the building.
