Santa Ana Volcano
Are you planning a trip to El Salvador and want to enjoy some outdoor activities? If you answered yes, you should go to Cerro Verde National Park and trek up to the rim of El Salvador's highest volcano, Santa Ana. The green crater lakes of the Santa Ana Volcano are undoubtedly one of the nicest sites to see in El Salvador, and accessing them requires a 1.5-hour climb from the Parque Nacional Cerro Verde gate.
At 2,381 meters (7,812 feet) above sea level, Santa Ana is El Salvador's highest volcano, but do not worry, anyone can climb it. It makes no difference whether you complete it in 45 minutes or two hours. The hike begins with an ascent through the woodland, followed by a steeper rocky section. Until you approach the crater rim, the last stretch is a little flatter.
The Santa Ana volcanic walk can be done on your own, but you must be accompanied by a guide. The walk begins at roughly 1,850 meters and costs $6 to enter (6.070 ft).
