Select
Select, based in Denmark, is a top ball maker on the globe. It was created in 1947 by Eigil Nielsen, a former goalie for the Danish national team. Select was the first soccer ball company to develop slip-on balls, and it was responsible for a slew of subsequent advances.
The first 32-panel soccer ball (often known as the Buckminster ball) was introduced in the early 1970s by a Danish entrepreneur and his company. It is comprised of 20 white hexagons and 12 black pentagons. This design gained a lot of traction and eventually became a football standard. Select opted to abandon cowhide as the material for its first hand-stitched synthetic leather ball in 1974.
Bundesliga in Germany and Liga do Porto in Portugal Portugal, like other European national leagues, uses Select as their official fixture source. All of these incredible historical events and facts are trademarks, ensuring that Select soccer balls are of the highest quality.
