Shikamaru Nara

Shikamaru Nara is a shinobi from the Nara clan of Konohagakure in the Naruto series. Shikamaru is naturally lethargic but possesses a remarkable intellect that frequently gives him the upper hand in battle. He is usually irritated by the burdens that these achievements impose on him.

But he happily accepts them to serve his fellow Team Asuma members and to demonstrate his worth to both prior and current generations. When Naruto became the Seventh Hokage as an adult, he was his primary aide. When Naruto vanished and was thought to have been slain, he took over as the Eighth Hokage.

Shikamaru Nara is definitely one of the best tacticians in the Naruto series, according to every fan. Although Shikamaru was not one of the strongest characters, he was able to win conflicts using only the techniques he designed. This is perfectly demonstrated by his battle with Temari during the Chunin Exams. Despite being trapped in a corner by Temari's powerful Wind Style Jutsus, Shikamaru devised a strategy to easily defeat her without overpowering her.

Shikamaru Nara was a successful leader. He led the Shinobi Alliance to victory during the Fourth Great Ninja War over Kaguya Otsutsuki and Madara Uchiha. Shikamaru successfully exacted revenge on his teacher, Asuma Sarutobi, by defeating Hidan by himself using his shadow skills and tactical powers.

Shikamaru's sharp thinking has helped Hidden Leaf Village prevail in numerous conflicts throughout the series. Following the Fourth Ninja World War, Shikamaru was appointed the Hidden Leaf Village leader's counselor.
