Site des Ramiers
The fortified site of Ramiers is located at a height of 857 meters in Haiti. Site des Ramiers is located northeast of Morne Coffard, near Chaîne du Bonnet.
The Citadelle and the Sans-Souci Palace are both near to the structures at Site des Ramiers. The three locations, when combined, create a recognized World Heritage Site and the Western Hemisphere's biggest stronghold. The Site des Ramiers represents liberty to Haitians since it was one of the first locations built by emancipated black slaves.
Ramiers' structures are the last part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site National History Park - Citadel, Sans Souci, Site des Ramiers. It is situated on a small plateau with numerous wall portions dividing the residential complex. There are a few of fortified redoubts as well. A panoramic image of the Citadelle may be found on the site. These structures, along with the two monuments mentioned above, are among the few structures constructed following Haiti's independence.
