South Cape Owners Club (South Korea)

Located just off the southeastern coast of Korea, on Namhae Island, is the South Cape Golf Club, an upscale public golf course 40 minutes from Sacheon Airport. Designed by golf course architect Kyle Phillips, this moddern-style 18-hole course sits along a dramatic beachfront cliff, offering golfers stunning views throughout their golf time.

Although the total length of this par 72 course is rather short compared to modern standards, just 6,685 meters from the championship tees, the combination of varying terrain and numerous obstacles such as steep cliffs creates quite a big challenge. The South Cape's fairways stretch along the shoreline surrounded by rocks that jut out into the sea, and golfers can play golf with views of the sea adorned with large and small islands.

While other golf courses are mostly flat, the South Cape Owners Club has a high central hill that gives it a three-dimensional feel and also offers a flexible layout. The course is also laid out over a large area of about 2,000,000 square meters, allowing for relatively wide and open service lines, according to Golf Property.
