Jane Stanford and Leland Stanford founded Stanford University in California, USA in 1895. Stanford University is one of the world's leading research institutes and a top engineering university in the United States.
The main motto the university operates is "The Wind of Freedom Blows". Stanford University is one of the best technical universities in the United States worldwide. It has more than 15,500 students, including more than 8,800 graduate students and 6,900 undergraduate students.
The university is formed around seven schools: three schools consisting of 40 academic departments at the undergraduate level as well as four professional schools that focus on graduate programs in law, medicine, education, and business. All schools are on the same campus.
