Subway

Subway has more locations than any other restaurant chain on the globe. Fred DeLuca and Peter Buck opened the sandwich business in Bridgeport, Connecticut (USA) in 1965. Since 2010, the sandwich shop has surpassed McDonald's as the world's largest restaurant chain by the number of outlets. It now has over 41,500 locations around the world. Surprisingly, the multibillion-dollar company, based in Milford, Connecticut, is still run by a family. The DeLuca family owns the entire property.

It's indispensable at parties, huge ball games, and so on. The Subway brand has virtually become a symbol of America.
