Swisscom, Switzerland's leading telecommunications company and one of its leading IT companies, has its headquarters in Ittigen, near Berne. Swisscom only operates in Switzerland and Italy. In accordance with Swiss Federal Council policy, Swisscom can only hold interests outside of Switzerland if it is beneficial to its core business in the Swiss domestic market or is of strategic importance.
In Switzerland, Swisscom offers residential customers a wide range of digital television, mobile telecommunications and other services. In the B2B segment, its portfolio includes network, cloud and ICT services.
In Italy, Swisscom's Fastweb offers a wide range of mobile telecommunications, digital TV and broadband services to residential customers and a comprehensive portfolio of ICT, cloud and security services for business customers.
Outside Switzerland and Italy, Swisscom holds strategic interests, primarily through its venture capital arm, and also operates an outpost in Silicon Valley and Shanghai.
