Visitors can take a five-minute cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa, using the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway. It is one of Cape Town's most well-liked tourist destinations, with the Cableway being used by almost one million people annually. The Cableway welcomed its 28 millionth passenger in January 2019.
At a height of 1,067 meters, the upper cable station is located on the westernmost portion of the plateau of Table Mountain (3,501 ft). Views of Cape Town, Table Bay, Robben Island, as well as views of the Atlantic coast to the west and south are available from the higher cable station.
