Taipa
Taipa is one of China's Special Administrative Region of most beautiful islands in Macau.
Taipa used to be an island between Macau Peninsular and Coloane Island, but the Cotai Strip, which was reclaimed from the water, now connects the two. The Pearl River still separates it from the Macau Peninsula, despite the fact that three bridges connect Taipa and the mainlan.
Taipa was once an agricultural island, but major development near the end of the twentieth century transformed the island into a viable option to the Peninsular. It is home to the Macau Jockey Club racecourse, as well as numerous hotels, casinos, and shopping malls.
The Macau International Airport is located on reclaimed land at Taipa's northern end.
