    Taipa

Taipa is one of China's Special Administrative Region of most beautiful islands in Macau.

Taipa used to be an island between Macau Peninsular and Coloane Island, but the Cotai Strip, which was reclaimed from the water, now connects the two. The Pearl River still separates it from the Macau Peninsula, despite the fact that three bridges connect Taipa and the mainlan.

Taipa was once an agricultural island, but major development near the end of the twentieth century transformed the island into a viable option to the Peninsular. It is home to the Macau Jockey Club racecourse, as well as numerous hotels, casinos, and shopping malls.

The Macau International Airport is located on reclaimed land at Taipa's northern end.

    Cotai

Since 2005, Cotai has been a 5.2-square-kilometer (2.0-square-mile) piece of newly reclaimed land on top of Seac Pai Bay between Taipa and Coloane islands in Macau, combining two separate islands into one. The name (which is a mix of Coloane and Taipa) can also apply to the entire new island that was created as a result of the reclamation. In the second sense, the Macau Special Administrative Region currently includes the Macau Peninsula as well as Cotai Island, which is roughly a mile to the south.

Because Macau is so densely populated and space is scarce, Cotai was established to give a new gaming and tourism district, and numerous hotels and casinos can now be found there.

The area is being transformed into the East's Las Vegas Strip, with an estimated investment of $50 billion USD, and will include multiple hotels, sports facilities, golf courses, and other amenities.

  3. Coloane was China's Special Administrative Region of Macau's southernmost island. It used to be separated from Taipa to the north, but the Cotai Strip now connects the two, forming one massive island.

Coloane is 8.07 square kilometers in size, 4 kilometers long, and 5.6 kilometers from the Macau Peninsula. Coloane is 300 meters wide at its narrowest point. Eastern and central Coloane have the highest points in Macau, with the highest point being 170.6 meters. It is one of the most beautiful islands in Macau.

The island, which was formerly a haven for pirates seeking refuge in its many coves, is now mostly rural and offers a welcome respite from the crowded and bustling Macau Peninsula. Coloane Village, with its pastel Portuguese-style buildings and small roads, is located here. Cheoc Van and Hac Sa, two of Macau's nicest beaches, are located in Coloane. Many Macau residents visit Coloane to sample Macanese cuisine and seafood.
